Sausage and Rice, um, ragout?1 lb ground sausage
2 small onions, chopped
4 ribs celery
1 Tbsp garlic
1 box mushrooms
Brown the sausage and the onions, celery, garlic and mushrooms until the sausage is brown and the onions are clear.
1 can crushed tomatoes
1 cup rice
2 cups chicken broth
enough water for the rice (depends on what kind of rice you have)
Add the above to the sausage and cover. Cook until the rice is done.
I don't know if this is a ragout, but I don't know what else to call it.
