Congrats on the engagement, we were married a year ago, so the trauma of planning a wedding is still fresh in my mind, lol. If you need/want suggestions or help, just ask!

http://www.paperandmore.com/clear_vellum_paper_29_acid_free_... . I found some card stock for $9.98 for 250 sheets at Staples.
The vellum comes in 8 1/2 x 11 sheets, so I was thinking cutting them in half to 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 sheets, and doing the same thing to card stock, printing a background on the card stock and the invitiation on the vellum, punching holes in them and tying them together with ribbon. Then, for the "save the date" cards, do the same thing with the leftovers.
Mom said we will probably send about 250 invitations. So, two boxes of vellum at $16.99 each plus $3.99 shipping = $37.97, or $.19 a sheet. One box of card stock at $9.98, or $.04 a sheet (!). Plus ribbon. So, invitations for < $.25!
Now, I need to find some inexpensive, good looking envelopes.
